Even if you are not a big fan of Boho Chic style, you have to admit it is one of the most creative and the most interesting fashion movements. Yes, it is primarily linked to the people who do not want to play by the rules and people who know how to enjoy their freedom.

Do you share any of these attitudes? Of course you do. You are a Bohemian girl without any doubt, even if you are not aware of it yet. But, are you brave enough to wear some of these dresses on your wedding?

Before you say anything about this fashion style (and before you say your big “Yes, I do”), you should read a few general things about the Bohemian magic.

What Is It?

It is an unusual mixture of different styles and combinations, with a strong Gipsy, Hippie, and nomadic influences. The term is coined by two words: Bohemian (which was general term for Gypsies and all immigrants that were coming in France from the Eastern Europe before the French Revolution) and “chic”, which is a French expression for someone who have a style or who is elegant.

In general, we can say that someone (mostly she) is Boho when looks stylish even if she wears unusual and not standard type of clothes.

After its peak in the late 1960s (Give Peace a Chance phase), this style became popular again in the late 2000s (2014-2005 to be more precise). And it was not surprising. This style had great promoters at that time, which obviously contributed to its popularity.

For those who do not know what we are talking about, we should mention some of the best-known Boho Chic style models: we had Nicole Richie and Mary Olsen in the USA, and Kate Moss and Sienna Miller in the UK. Later, actresses like Mischa Barton or the „Fifth Element” star Mila Jovovic were also very active in the promotion of this specific fashion style.

The Bride

Most girls will stick to the usual wedding dresses, which is quite expected. People just do not want to experiment in situations which are important to them (a wedding is definitely one of these occasions). But, it does not have to be like that. If you want something different and if you want to feel special on your wedding day, you might consider wearing, let’s say, white airy dress with a flower in your hair.

Think again about it. Think about who you really are. Wearing Boho Chic style is not for everyone. It is not for people who play safe all their lives. But, if you are rebel, a person with a strong individuality, than Bohemian wedding dress might be right choice for you. So, are you prepared for uniqueness and liberty?
